Belmopan, Tuesday, 14th February 2012:  Over 147 students of the Cristo Rey Roman Catholic School in the Corozal District are no longer exposed to the dangers associated with asbestos thanks to a project which included the rehabilitation of two main school buildings equipped with spacious bathrooms, the supply of computers, office furniture and equipment.

Belmopan, Monday 30^th  January, 2012:  A group, comprised of 19 women and a man, hailing from four villages along the Old Northern Highway in the Belize District received certificates during a brief ceremony held on Saturday 28^th   January in St Ann’s Village after completing a seven-month intensive skills training course in the areas of sewing, fruit processing and business management.

The Government of Belize (GOB) has received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for DEVELOPMENT OF MUNICIPAL GROWTH PLANS (MGP’s) FOR THE MUNICIPALITIES COROZAL, ORANGE WALK, BENQUE VIEJO, SAN IGNACIO & SANTA ELENA, BELMOPAN, DANGRIGA AND PUNTA GORDA, BELIZE

Belmopan, Wednesday, 14th December 2011:    Children in Sunday Wood Village, one of the most remote communities in the Toledo District, will soon have a new school building.  The school project will be launched during a ground breaking ceremony tomorrow morning at the project site in Sunday Wood Village.
